Click Venue calendar in the Programming card on your venue hub to reach the Venue Calendar. Your events appear on it automatically; on top of them you can add your own entries for everything else that occupies the building.
The legend
Above the calendar is a colour key. Events is the first colour; the rest are the categories available to your own entries:
- Special Event
- Happy Hour
- Private Event
- Holiday
- Closed
- Promotion
- Custom
Adding an entry
- Click Add Entry at the top right — or just click the date on the calendar you want it on, which opens the same form with that day filled in.
- Give it a title, pick a category, and set the dates and times (or tick all-day).
- Save. It appears on the calendar in its category colour, and in the Custom Entries list below.
Editing and deleting
- On the calendar, click a custom entry to open it. The dialog shows its description and times, with Edit and Delete.
- In the Custom Entries list underneath, each row has a pencil (edit) and a trash (delete) button.
Deleting asks you to confirm and cannot be undone.
Clicking an event on the calendar takes you to that event rather than opening the entry dialog — the dialog is only for your own entries.
Custom entries are an internal planning tool. They do not block ticket sales, they do not stop an event being created on the same night, and patrons never see them.
A Closed or Private Event entry is the cheapest way to stop your own team double-booking the room. Put the load-in and the strike on as entries too, and a booker can see at a glance that the Thursday is really gone.
Add a Closed entry for your next dark day, then reload the calendar and confirm it appears both on the date and in the Custom Entries list.
