Click Edit menu in the Setup card on your venue hub to reach Venue Menu & Merchandise Templates. A template is a named, reusable list of priced items — a dinner menu, a drinks list, a band's merch table — that you build once here and attach to an event, instead of retyping it for every show.
Template Management
The first card picks which template you are editing.
- Under Template, choose an existing template, or New Template to start a fresh one.
- Give it a Template Name — e.g. "Dinner Menu" or "Band Merch".
- Add a Description (Optional). It is internal notes for your team, not something buyers see.
- Click Save Template.
Delete Template removes the template you have open. It is only enabled once you have an existing template selected.
Menu Items
The second card is the items themselves, grouped into categories. Category names are entirely yours — Appetizers, Beverages, Band Merch, Venue Merch, anything.
| Action | How | |---|---| | Add a category | Add Category at the top right of the card | | Rename a category | The pencil button beside its name. Enter saves, Escape cancels | | Reorder categories | The up and down arrows beside each category | | Add an item | Add Item on the category's row | | Remove an item | The trash button on the item |
Each item has a Name, a Price and a Description. Click a category header to expand or collapse it; the header shows how many items it holds.
The menu items live on the same form as the template itself — click Save Template in the first card after editing items, or your changes are lost when you leave the page.
Using a template on an event
A template is a starting point, not a live link. On an event's edit page, open the Menu & Merchandise (Optional) card and pick your template under Venue Menu Template. Its items are loaded straight into that event's menu ("Template applied"), and editing them there does not change the template — or any other show that used it.
Buyers then see those items as add-ons during checkout for that event.
Keep one template per real-world thing — "House drinks", "Sunday brunch", "Touring merch" — rather than one giant list. Attaching two small templates to a show is easier than deleting half a big one.
Create a template called "House drinks" with one category and two items, save, then open an upcoming event's edit page and attach it.
