Venue Admin

The Marketing page is the one place that ties your venue's marketing together. It shows a dashboard of your audience and email results, and it is the way in to email campaigns, saved audiences, automations and the marketing reports. It is for venue admins; box-office staff cannot open it.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Admin → Venues and open your venue.

  2. In the Money group, click Marketing.

There is no separate Campaigns, Audiences or Automations link on the venue page — all three are reached from here.

| To get to… | Click | |---|---| | The campaign composer | New campaign (top right) | | Every campaign you have written | All campaigns | | Saved audiences | Audiences | | Open and click rates for every sent campaign | Full analytics | | Automations | Manage automations | | A marketing report | One of the four cards under Reports |

The arrow beside the page title takes you back to your venue.

Audience

Six tiles describe your patron list:

| Tile | Large number | Small number | |---|---|---| | Patrons | Everyone on your patron list | — | | Emailable | Patrons a campaign can actually reach | Share of all patrons | | Donors | Donors who can be emailed | All donors | | Lapsed donors | Lapsed donors who can be emailed | All lapsed donors | | Recurring donors | Recurring donors who can be emailed | All recurring donors | | Ticket buyers | Ticket buyers who can be emailed | All ticket buyers |

The large number on a group tile is what a campaign to that group would reach, so it matches the recipient count you see in the composer. A patron is not emailable if they have no email address, have unsubscribed or are marked do-not-email, or their address bounced or was reported as spam.

These counts are saved and reused rather than recounted on every visit. The page shows "Updated N min ago" at the top; click Refresh to recount now. The first time the page is opened for a venue, the tiles are blank and a note says the counts are being computed — click Refresh after a moment.

Email campaigns

Six tiles total every campaign you have sent:

  • Sent campaigns — with the number of drafts underneath
  • Emails delivered
  • Open rate and Click rate — opens and clicks as a share of delivered emails
  • Attributed orders and Attributed revenue — ticket orders placed by a recipient within 7 days of a campaign being sent, and what those orders totalled

Below the tiles:

  • Last 12 months — emails sent per month — a bar for each month's recipients, with a short line under it for opens. Hover over a month for the exact figures.
  • Recent sends — your five most recent campaigns with recipients, open rate, click rate and attributed revenue. Click a name to open that campaign.

See Campaign analytics for how opens, clicks and attributed revenue are worked out.

Automations

Four tiles summarise your automations:

  • Active — how many are switched on, out of how many you have
  • Sends (30 days) and Lifetime sends
  • Open rate — across all automation emails

Click Manage automations to create or change one. See Marketing automations.

Reports

Four cards open the marketing reports with your venue already selected:

  • Sell-through & Pace — seats sold against capacity and pace for every upcoming show
  • Promo performance — redemptions, discount given and revenue for every promo code
  • Audience & geography — segment counts and where your patrons live
  • Channels & campaigns — where each event went out: calendars, social and email

These cards work even if the dashboard above fails to load. See Marketing reports.

The same four reports are also listed on your venue page, in the Marketing reports group, if you want to go straight to one.

Try it yourself

Open your venue, click Marketing, and find the Emailable tile. Compare its large number with Patrons — the gap is the patrons you cannot currently reach by email. Then click Audiences and come back with the arrow at the top of the page.
