Venue Admin

Every venue has things a ticket buyer wants to know whatever the show: where to park, what food and drink is available, the bag policy, accessibility. Write it once in the Event Page Content card and it is used on the public page of the events at your venue, below each event's own details. You can type it yourself or have Noctern draft it from your website.

Who can do this

A venue admin with the Venue settings permission (canEditSettings) on the Team page can save this content. Box-office staff cannot open venue settings.

Writing the content

  1. Go to Admin → Venues → [your venue] and click Edit details in the Setup group.

  2. Open the Event Page Content card. Its description reads "Custom content displayed on all event pages for this venue — parking info, house rules, food & drink policies, etc."

  3. Type or paste your information into the editor.

  4. Click Save Content. This card has its own save button — the content is not saved by the other save buttons on the page.

Drafting it with Generate with AI

Generate with AI reads your venue's website and writes a first draft for you.

  1. Make sure your venue has a website address: in the Venue Details card, fill in Website (Optional) and save. Generate with AI stays greyed out until a website is saved.

  2. In the Event Page Content card, click Generate with AI. The button reads "Generating..." while it works.

  3. The draft replaces whatever was in the editor. Read every line and correct it.

  4. Click Save Content. Nothing is published until you do.

The draft covers whichever of these it can find on your site: a short introduction to the venue, parking and transportation, food and drink, policies (age limits, bags, photography), accessibility, and contact details.

Generating overwrites what is in the editor, including text you typed but have not saved. If you want to keep your current wording, copy it somewhere first. If you do not like the draft, reload the page without saving and your last saved content comes back.

The draft is written by AI from one page of your website. It can be out of date, incomplete or simply wrong — a parking lot that has closed, last season's bag policy. You are responsible for what is published, so check every fact before you save.

If it does not work

| Message | What to do | |---|---| | The button is greyed out | Add your website in Venue Details and save | | "Failed to fetch venue website" | Noctern could not load your site. Check the address is right and the site is up, then try again | | "Could not extract enough content from the venue website" | The page has too little readable text (for example, it is mostly images). Write the content by hand | | "AI generated empty content. Try again." | Click Generate with AI again |

Changing or hiding it for one event

Each event has its own Event Page Content card, on the event's edit page (Admin → Events, open the event, then edit it).

  • Show on event page — the switch in the card's heading. Turn it off to hide venue information on that event only.
  • With the switch on, the editor starts with your venue's content. Change it and save the event to give that show its own version — useful for a different door time, an outdoor stage or special parking. It applies to every date of that show. The venue's content for every other event is not affected.

A show stores its own copy of this content — it is copied from the venue when the event is created, and again whenever the event is saved from its edit page with the switch on. A show that has its own copy keeps it: later changes to the venue's Event Page Content do not reach it. So after you rewrite the venue's content, new events get the new wording, but events that already exist can still show the old one. Check your upcoming event pages and update each show's own Event Page Content card where needed.

Tips for content that helps sell tickets

  • Lead with what people ask the box office most — parking and door times.
  • Keep it short and use headings; buyers skim this on a phone.
  • Review it at the start of each season. Stale information here produces phone calls.
Try it yourself

Open your venue's Event Page Content card and click Generate with AI. Correct the draft and click Save Content. Then open an upcoming event's edit page, find its own Event Page Content card, and compare its wording with the venue's.
