Some venues sell memberships. A membership belongs to one venue and gives you that venue's benefits — usually a discount on tickets, a number of free tickets, or both. What each level includes is set by the venue and shown before you buy.

Joining

You need a Noctern account to buy a membership — it can't be bought as a guest, because the benefits are attached to your account.

  1. Open the venue's page and click Become a member. The button only appears when the venue offers memberships.
  2. The venue's Memberships page lists each level with its price and description. Click Choose on the level you want.
  3. On the Join Membership page, check the order summary: Subtotal, Fees, Taxes (if any) and Total.
  4. If you aren't signed in, click Log In or Sign Up. You come back to the same page afterwards.
  5. Under Pay with Card, confirm your Email, enter your card details and click Pay.

After payment you are taken to My Tickets, with a note that your membership will appear shortly. Give it a moment and refresh the page if you don't see it straight away.

You can hold one active membership per venue. If you already have one, the join page shows You're Already a Member! instead of the payment form. To change level, contact the venue.

Finding your membership

Go to Profile → My Tickets. When you hold a membership, the page is titled My Tickets & Memberships and a My Memberships section sits above your tickets. Each membership card shows your level, the venue, and a Valid until date.

The venue's Memberships page also shows a green notice with your level and expiry date while you are signed in.

Using your benefits at checkout

Sign in with the account that holds the membership, then buy tickets as usual. In the order summary a Membership benefits available box lists what you can use on this order.

  • Member discount — click Apply member discount (the button shows your percentage). To take it off again, click Remove member discount.
  • Free tickets — choose how many of your free tickets to use on this order and click Apply. You can use fewer than the maximum — for example one free ticket for you and a full-price ticket for a guest.

The box also tells you about any limits the venue set, such as "Free tickets apply to seats $50.00 and under" or "Up to 2 free tickets per event". If nothing in your order qualifies, it says so.

If your benefit covers the whole order, the payment card becomes Confirm Order and you click Complete Order — no card is needed.

A promo code can't be combined with a membership benefit. While you hold a membership at the venue, the Discount/Promo code field is switched off for that venue's events.
