You can buy tickets from any browser — no app required. Here is how the process works from start to finish.

Finding an event

Go to Browse Events to browse all upcoming events. You can:

  • Search by event name or artist using the search bar
  • Browse by location — select your city or state to see nearby events
  • Filter by date or category using the filter controls

Click an event card to open the event detail page.

Selecting seats or tickets

Reserved seating events show an interactive seat map. Click a seat to select it — selected seats turn highlighted. Click again to deselect.

General admission events show a quantity picker. Enter how many tickets you want for each tier (for example, Adult: 2).

Once you select seats, a 15-minute hold timer starts. Your seats are reserved for 15 minutes while you complete checkout. If you leave the page or the timer runs out, the seats are released for others.

Choosing a pricing category

Some events offer pricing categories within a tier — for example, Senior, Member, or Student. A dropdown appears next to each seat in your order summary. Select the category that applies to you.

Categories labeled "(window closed)" are not available for public purchase. They may be available to box-office staff at the door.

Applying a promo code

If you have a discount code, enter it in the Promo code field in the order summary and click Apply. If the code is valid, a discount line appears showing the amount saved.

Common rejection messages:

  • Code not valid — the code does not exist or is misspelled
  • Code expired — the sale window has ended
  • Code limit reached — the code has hit its maximum uses
  • Requires at least N tickets — add more tickets first

Paying

Noctern uses Stripe for secure card payments. Enter your card number, expiry, and CVC. If your device supports it, Apple Pay or Google Pay appears as a faster option.

Click Pay (or Place order) to complete the purchase. Your card is charged immediately.

Your confirmation

After payment, you receive a confirmation email with:

  • PDF ticket(s) attached — one per seat
  • QR code(s) for check-in at the door
  • An Add to Apple Wallet link (iPhone only)

Create a Noctern account before buying so your tickets and order history are saved to your profile. You can also buy as a guest — your confirmation email is all you need to get in.

The seat hold timer is stored in your browser. If you open checkout in a different browser or clear your cookies, the hold may not transfer. Complete the purchase in the same browser tab.
