Lesson 3 of 15

Venue profile and settings

Venue AdminSuper Admin

Go to AdminVenues[venue]Edit to update your venue's profile and operational settings. You need the canEditSettings capability.

Basic information

| Field | Notes | |---|---| | Name | Shown on the public venue page and all tickets | | Address / City / State / ZIP | Used for geo-search and map display | | Phone | Shown on the venue page | | Website | Linked from the venue page | | Event email | Reply-to address on confirmation emails | | Description | Short bio shown on the venue page |

Hero images

Upload one or more hero images for the public venue page. Images are cropped to 4:3 and compressed automatically. The first image in the list is used as the primary image on the venue listing card.

Custom content

The Custom content section opens a rich-text editor (Tiptap). Use it to add venue-level notes — FAQs, parking information, accessibility details — that appear on the public venue page below the event list. Toggle Show custom content to control visibility.

Ticketing policies

The Ticketing policies card configures the exchange fee charged when a staff member exchanges a ticket:

  • Exchange fee type — Flat dollar amount or percentage of the new ticket price
  • Exchange fee value — The dollar amount or percentage

Set both to zero for free exchanges.

Seasons

Seasons are date ranges you define to group performances for reporting. For example, "2025–26 Season: Aug 25, 2025 – Aug 31, 2026." A performance's season is determined by its event date.

Seasons do not gate ticket sales — they are reporting labels only.

To add a season:

  1. Scroll to the Seasons card on the edit page.
  2. Click Add season.
  3. Enter a name, start date, and end date.
  4. Click Save.

Patron lifecycle thresholds

The Lifecycle section lets you customize the thresholds used in the Patron Lifecycle report:

  • Frequent buyer — minimum number of orders in the report window to count as "Frequent" (default: 3)
  • Lapsed — months since last order to count as "Lapsed" (default: 18)

Adjust these to match your venue's attendance patterns.

Try it yourself

Update your venue's event email address, upload a new hero image, and add the current season. Save and open the public venue page to confirm the changes appear.

Open this topic in the help center

Try it

Open Admin → Venues → [venue] → Edit and set two things: a season date range on the Seasons card, and an exchange fee on the Ticketing policies card. Save, then confirm the exchange fee shows up on an exchange quote.

Checkpoint

Answer all 3 questions correctly to mark this lesson complete.

  1. 1. What do seasons actually do?

  2. 2. Which card holds the exchange fee used when staff exchange a ticket?

  3. 3. What are the default lifecycle thresholds on a venue?
