When a patron picks the Mail delivery method, their tickets have to physically go in the post. The To Mail list is the worklist for that: every mail order not yet marked mailed, oldest first.

There is no button to this page anywhere in the app. It isn't one of the five box-office nav buttons and nothing links to it. Reach it by typing the address: AdminBox OfficeTo Mail — i.e. add /to-mail to the box-office address, keeping the ?venueId=… already in the bar. Bookmark it; whoever does the posting will want it daily.

The page needs a venue. If you open it cold it says "Select a venue in Ticket Sales to see its mail queue" — pick the venue on Ticket Sales first, then go back.

What's on the list

Each card shows the performance, when it was ordered, how many tickets, and the delivery fee (or fee waived), with the patron's name and email below.

Two badges can appear on a card:

  • A badge naming the ticketing system an order was imported from, for orders brought across from a venue's previous system. Those carry a $0 mail fee — whatever the old system charged for postage was collected there.
  • A red status badge (for example refund_pending) on an order whose refund is still in flight. It stays on the list on purpose: the refund may yet fail, in which case the tickets still have to go out.

Orders join the list within about 15 minutes of being bought, not instantly — a background job stamps them. Don't go looking for an order you rang up two minutes ago.

A refunded or cancelled order leaves the list immediately, so you can never post tickets for an order that's been undone.

Marking orders mailed

  1. Post the tickets.

  2. For a single order, click Mark mailed on its card.

  3. For a batch, tick the checkbox on each card — or use Select all shown at the top — then click Mark {n} selected mailed.

The order leaves the list and appears under Recently mailed at the bottom, with the date it was marked.

One click marks at most 200 orders. With more than 200 on screen the top control reads Select the first 200 shown and tells you so — mark those, then select the next batch.

If the list is longer than one page, a Load more button at the bottom fetches the next batch. The count at the top shows a + when there are more waiting than are loaded.

When an order can't be marked

Marking is checked order by order, so a batch never fails as a whole. Any order that couldn't be marked is reported in the confirmation message with its reason:

| Reason | What it means | |---|---| | Order refunded / Order cancelled | The order was undone between the page loading and your click. Don't post it. | | Not a mail delivery | The order's delivery method isn't Mail — it shouldn't have been on the list. | | Purchase not found | The order no longer exists. |

An order that somebody else already marked mailed is simply counted as already done, not reported as a failure.

If the list won't load

The list and Recently mailed load independently. If one of them fails you'll see a message in place of just that section ("Couldn't load the To mail list: …") and the other still works. Reload the page to retry.

Which delivery methods your venue offers, and what the mail fee is, are venue settings — see Ticket Delivery Methods. Every Mark mailed is recorded in the venue's activity log with who did it and when.
