Lesson 55 of 56

Branding your event pages

Venue Admin

The Branding card skins your event pages with your venue's look. Buyers see your colour, logo and tagline on every event page, and your cover photo stands in as the hero image when an event has no picture of its own.

Go to AdminVenues[venue]Edit and open the Branding card. You need the Venue settings permission.

Import from your website

If you have saved a Website in Venue Details, the Import from website button in the card header reads your site and proposes a colour, tagline, font, logo and cover photo. Review what it suggests before you keep it — it is a starting point, not a finished design. Without a website saved, the button is disabled and its tooltip says so.

Colours

FieldWhat it does
Brand color6-digit hex. The accent on buttons and the "presented by" strip. Leave blank to use Noctern's own primary colour
Secondary colorHover states and secondary accents. Leave blank and Noctern derives it from your brand colour
Background tintA soft tint behind accent panels. Leave blank and Noctern derives it too

Each has a swatch you can click to open a colour picker, a text box for pasting a hex value, and a Clear button that puts it back to the derived default.

Tagline and font

  • Tagline — up to 120 characters, shown next to your venue name on event pages.
  • Font family — pick from the list, or leave it on Default (Noctern). The chosen font is loaded from Google Fonts on demand and applied to event-page text.

Logo and cover photo

AssetFormatWhere it shows
LogoPNG, JPG or SVG — a transparent background is recommendedYour mark on event pages
Cover photoPNG or JPG, wide and editorial; 16:9 looks bestThe event hero when an event has no image of its own

Click Upload logo / Upload cover to add one, or Remove to take it off.

Click Save branding when you are done. The Branding card saves on its own — it does not ride the page's other Save buttons.

Pick one strong brand colour and leave the secondary and background blank. The derived values are chosen to stay readable in both light and dark mode; hand-picked ones often are not.

Your branding appears on event pages, not on the Noctern-wide browse pages. If you want your look on your own site, see "Embed your events on your website".

Try it yourself

Set a brand colour and a tagline, save, then open one of your public event pages and confirm the button colour and the tagline next to your venue name both changed.

  1. 1. A venue admin clicks Import from website but the venue has no Website saved in Venue Details. What happens?

  2. 2. A venue sets a Brand color but leaves Secondary color and Background tint blank. What happens?

  3. 3. A venue wants its branding to show up on its own external website, not just Noctern event pages. What's the right feature?
