Sponsor logos on tickets

Venue AdminSuper Admin

Many venues sell or trade sponsor placements on their tickets. The Ticket sponsors card at AdminVenues[venue]Edit lets you add sponsor/ad logos to the print-at-home ticket PDF and, optionally, the confirmation email. You need the canEditSettings capability.

How it works

  • Set up to 4 sponsor slots at the venue level. Each slot is an uploaded logo (PNG or JPG, up to 1 MB), required alt text, an optional one-line caption (e.g. "Presented by …"), an optional click-through link, and a position: footer, header, or sidebar.
  • These slots apply to every show at your venue by default.
  • Turn off individual slots with the Active switch without deleting them.
  • Also show sponsor logos in the confirmation email controls whether the same slots also render below the ticket details in the email. The PDF ticket always shows active slots regardless of this toggle.

Add a sponsor slot

  1. Go to AdminVenues[venue]Edit and find the Ticket sponsors card.
  2. Click Upload logo and choose a PNG or JPG (max 1 MB).
  3. Fill in Alt text (required) — a short description of the sponsor, read by screen readers and shown if the image fails to load in email.
  4. Optionally add a Caption (e.g. "Presented by Example Co.") and a click-through Link.
  5. Choose a Position — Footer (up to 2 logos, side by side, at the bottom of the ticket), Header (1 logo, top corner), or Sidebar (1 logo, beside the QR code).
  6. Click Save Ticket Sponsors, then Preview ticket PDF to see a sample ticket with your slots in place before your next event.

The QR code and barcode never shrink to make room for a sponsor logo — sizing is print-safe by design. If a logo doesn't leave enough room in the footer, move it to a different position or use a shorter caption.

Per-show overrides

A single show can override the venue's defaults from its own edit page, in the Ticket sponsors (this show) card:

  • Inherit venue defaults (default) — uses whatever is configured at the venue level.
  • Replace with slots for this show — uses its own set of up to 4 slots instead, with the same editor as the venue settings card.
  • No sponsor ads on this show — shows no ads at all, even if the venue has defaults configured.

This is useful for a one-off show with its own exclusive sponsor, or a show that shouldn't carry ads at all (e.g. a fundraiser).

Print-safe logos

Because print-at-home tickets are often printed at home on an inkjet or laser printer with low ink, choose logos that still read clearly in black and white — a logo that depends entirely on color contrast (e.g. a light yellow on white) may not print legibly. A simple, high-contrast logo works best.

Try it yourself

Open the Ticket sponsors card for your venue, upload a logo to the footer position, save, and click Preview ticket PDF to confirm it looks right before your next event.
