- 9

💡 Tips
- •Blueprints are required - they define your venue's physical structure (rooms/spaces)
- •Best practice: Create the floor plan (rooms/spaces) in Floor Plan mode first
- •Then switch to Seating mode to add seats and tables within those rooms
- •The Floor Plan button is disabled until you select a blueprint
- •Accurate layouts prevent conflicts at events
- •Consider accessibility requirements
- •Different events may use different layouts from the same blueprint
- •In Seating mode, the floor plan rooms appear faintly in the background to guide placement
Creating & Editing Floor Plans
Floor plans define the physical structure of your venue spaces (rooms). Every layout must have a blueprint - this is the foundation for your seating arrangements. Use the layer mode toggle to switch to Floor Plan mode to design or edit rooms.
Steps
- 1
In the layout editor, select a blueprint from the Blueprint dropdown (required)
- 2
Click the "Floor Plan" button in the layer mode toggle to enter Floor Plan mode
- 3
Click "Add Room" in the Tools panel to add venue spaces
- 4
Drag rooms to position them, resize using the corner handle
- 5
Enter room dimensions (width/length in feet)
- 6
Name each room - room names are required (e.g., "Main Hall", "VIP Area", "Outdoor Deck")
- 7
Click Save to persist floor plan changes to the blueprint
💡 Tips
- •Blueprints are the required foundation - always select or create one first
- •The Floor Plan button will be disabled until you select a blueprint from the dropdown
- •Room dimensions should match your actual venue measurements
- •Use consistent naming for easy reference when creating events
- •All rooms must have a name before you can save
Adding Seating Arrangements
Switch to Seating mode using the layer mode toggle to place seats, tables, booths, and sections within your floor plan. The floor plan rooms appear faintly in the background to guide your seating placement.
Steps
- 1
In the layout editor, click the "Seating" button in the layer mode toggle to enter Seating mode
- 2
Floor plan rooms will appear faintly in the background for reference
- 3
Choose between Standard Objects (Stage, Seat, Row, Table, Booth, Section, GA Area, Label) and Custom Objects
- 4
Click an object type to add it, then click on the canvas to place it
- 5
Drag to move objects, use the blue resize handle to resize, rotate with the corner handle
- 6
Click on any object to edit its properties in the right panel (pricing tier, seat count, dimensions, etc.)
- 7
Organize objects by pricing tier colors for easy identification
- 8
Save the layout when complete (saves both seating and any floor plan changes)
💡 Tips
- •Seating mode is the default mode when you open the layout editor
- •Objects must be placed within the floor plan boundaries if a blueprint is selected
- •Use the Section tool to group seating areas by location
- •Save frequently used object configurations as custom templates for faster event setup
- •Use keyboard arrow keys to fine-tune object positioning
Creating Custom Object Templates
Save frequently used object configurations as custom templates to speed up your layout process. Custom templates preserve all properties including dimensions, seat counts, and pricing tiers.
Steps
- 1
In Seating mode, place and configure an object (Table, Booth, Section, GA Area, Row, or Stage)
- 2
Set all desired properties: dimensions, seat count, pricing tier, shape, etc.
- 3
Click the object to select it
- 4
Click the "Save as Template" button in the Tools & Properties panel
- 5
Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "VIP Booth", "Large Round Table")
- 6
Click "Save Template" to add it to your Custom Objects library
- 7
Access saved templates by clicking the "Custom Objects" tab in the Tools panel
- 8
Click any custom template to add it to your layout with the same configuration
💡 Tips
- •Custom templates can only be created from: Tables, Booths, Sections, GA Areas, Rows, and Stages
- •Single seats and labels cannot be saved as templates
- •Templates preserve all object properties including dimensions and seat configuration
- •Custom templates are available across all layouts for the same venue
- •Hover over a template in the Custom Objects tab to delete it
- •Give templates clear names to easily identify them later (e.g., "6-Person Round Table" instead of "Table 1")
